Iran to Get First Airbus Plane in days
Tehran, Iran: Iran to seize the foreground this week in a big Airbus drive placed after the lifting of international sanctions transport Iran Air said on Sunday.
"The aircraft received its certificate of registration and the Iran Air team is in place to take delivery," Chief Executive Airlines, Farhad Parvaresh, told Fars news agency.
"We hope to take delivery between now and the end of the week."
Iran Air achieved a good deal for 100 Airbus aircraft with the sticker of about $ 20 billion (19 billion euros) on 22 December.
Iran is determined to the agreement during a visit to the President of Paris Ruhani last January, shortly after the international sanctions were lifted under the nuclear agreement sign between Iran and the world powers.
But this requires approval from Washington, some parts manufactured in the United States.
The jets will support Iran's aging fleet of more passengers from 46 A320 for medium-, long-haul 38 A330 and 16 A350 routes.
In another case, last month, Iran Air completed an order for 80 Airbus aircraft from US rival Boeing.
Boeing said the contract - Iran's first agreement with the US airline with the Islamic Revolution in 1979 - valued at $ 16.6 billion.
