Infiniti evokes the next generation QX80 SUV

Our last testimony before the New York Auto Show came from Infiniti. The company revealed nothing more than a name, the QX80 monograph and the single image seen above. However, we can determine some things from this information trick.

First, Infiniti is teasing a vehicle that will represent the future successor of the current SUV QX80, although in concept form. Secondly, the SUV will see a significant overhaul. The headlights are now aligned with the top half of the grid rather than the bottom, and the top of the wings is higher. This provides a more aggressive and square-sided appearance. The lower vents and the front spoiler are more aggressive.

The SUV will be fully revealed on April 11 in time for the New York Auto Show, as well as further details on the vehicle. At that point, we should know whether this is a completely new vehicle or a major refresh of the current SUV based at Nissan Patrol.
