Today on Let's Speed: Dodge Challenger Hellcat and Ford F-150 Raptor race around a mountain

It was the question that burned in our minds for 10 minutes: what is the quickest way to conquer a mountain? Around or more?

As a forced induction race between a rabbit and a super powered rabbit, we took the strongest examples of the Sugarloaf Mountain.

Andrew Ganz and Andrew Ganz editors have taken a Ford F-150 Raptor 2017 and a Dodge Challenger Hellcat 2017 in Boulder, Colorado, for the least "green" race this city has ever seen.

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has already made a name for itself as one of the fastest means on difficult terrain. Its 450-horsepower dual-turbocharged V-6 engine and its generous suspension trip and internal in-shock shocks by Fox help make this unique pickup a formidable enemy for sand dunes everywhere and an ultra highway -able.

The 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat is an established road puncher. With 707 horsepower, a 0-60-mph time of less than 4.0 seconds and a speed of over 200 mph, it was a feat for American muscles and an instant classic as it hit the streets.

The roads were timed almost exactly, with the slight passage to the Raptor, which traveled the famous Swiss trail before connecting to Lefthand Canyon.

The Challenger Hellcat followed Boulder Canyon Road by connecting to the picturesque Peak to Peak through the city of Nederland before heading down to Lefthand Canyon.

While Raptor's wide position and innumerable stem-to-stern inches were passive on the runway, Challenger Hellcat's famed straight-line speed prevented him from compensating for the passing on stage.

The end was a surprise for both competitors. We do not think it's so close. We are not sure we have definitely settled the fastest way to conquer Mother Nature, but we had a lot of fun along the way.
