Aeromobil To Introduce Flying Car at 2017 Top Marques Monaco

The promise of flying cars has existed for decades, and AeroMobil of Slovakia will show us the nearest interpretation of this promise in a few days.

Based on its prototype version 3.0 unveiled in 2014, the latest AeroMobil design will present its face to the Top Marques Monaco of 2017 which will open its doors on Thursday.

The company did not provide many details regarding its updated moving engine, but provided images that show a slightly reworked design on prototype 3.0.

As far as technical information is concerned, we can only work with what we know is supposed to be "ready for production" with the previous prototype 3.0. A Rotax 912 air-cooled four-cylinder engine provided 100 horsepower and a maximum speed of 124 mph in the air. A speed of 99 mph was possible on the roadways.

The prototype 3.0 was also claimed to be relatively efficient in fuel by achieving 35.3 mpg on the road and syrup 4 gallons per hour in the air. If improvements in energy and fuel consumption are present, it will likely wait for the start in a few days.

Although the sound of the specifications is feasible, it remains to be seen whether the Slovak company will be able to get out of reality. AeroMobil has been promising a production and flying car for some time, but after a prototype blocked mid-flight in 2015, confidence has been anything but high. There are also a number of other companies that are trying to create flying cars and drones to carry passengers, the newest being E-Volo with its 2X multicopter, which can also house autonomous capabilities.

For now, we will stick to the proven ways of rubber meeting pavement for our daily transportation.
