Nissan invades the trails with tracks-wearing Rogue Warrior

Nissan is back making tracks ... or more precisely, the manufacturer has picked up the tracks in his machines.

The Rogue has again abandoned its wheels for a less than conventional bearing equipment. The last vehicle is called the Rogue Trail Warrior, and it seems ready to drive anywhere you need to go. The first step is the 2017 New York auto show.

We sampled Nissan vehicles equipped with trails in 2016. These modified machines swallowed the sterile ski trails and shipped with land that would prove indissoluble in vehicles carrying standard rolling stock. With the tracks, the snow and the aggressive change of the elevation had no consequence.

Now the terrain changes paths filled with dirt, but the Rogue represented here seems more than ready for the adventure. To make a jump to the runways, the wings must have a few more points of clearance, but the rest of the vehicle seems to be as stressed as it was when it left the factory. You simply disengage the wheels and allow the tracks in place. Break them out and turn them off. Well ... you will not be able to explode because the Snape does not light up exactly the GT-R heat under his hood.

So, as cool as this Rogue modified by the tracks, Nissan, we need to listen to you. Let's make it happen on a bit more wild. We could team up to create a roll of diesel tracks with Titan XD, or we could go crazy and find a way to trade them under a GT-R. Then the part of the world without roads would turn out to be our oyster, and we would have much more to talk about here.

The N.Y. car show opens on Wednesday.
